About the Author
Dr. O. P. Singh is a distinguished scientist and international consultant with more than five decades of expertise in land drainage, irrigation, GIS and remote sensing. He has served as Principal Scientist and Head of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering at CSSRI, Karnal, and as Head of the Agricultural Engineering Division at IARI, New Delhi. He has contributed to major water management projects supported by the World Bank, ADB, NDB and JICA across India and Afghanistan, besides providing consultancy services in Cambodia and Ethiopia. Dr. Singh holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad and an MTech from GB Pant University, Pantnagar. He currently advises on water management, flood mitigation and groundwater recharge initiatives.
