Hemanshu Pal Singh Jadon crowned Overall Champion; Shiksha Jain wins Girls’ Category
Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], September 26: The third season of the Talent Identification Golf Tournament, organised by 100 Medals Targeted Foundation and Adpod Communications, was held on 25th September at the Army Golf Course, bringing together young golfers and caddies from across three categories — Girls (up to 21 years), Boys (up to 18 years), and Caddies (16 to 29 years).
Col Himmat Verma, Director, 100 Medals Targeted Foundation, informed that a total of 62 players took part in the tournament, comprising 7 girls, 10 boys, and 45 caddies. Hemanshu Pal Singh Jadon emerged as the Overall Champion, while Ms Shiksha Jain claimed the top spot in the Girls’ category.
Lt Gen PS Shekhawat, Chief of Staff, South West Command, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and lauded the initiative for its role in nurturing grassroots golfing talent. The aim of the tournament is to create a talent pipeline among the youth and offer every participant an equal opportunity, irrespective of economic background.
Foundation intends to put at least 1,000 children and caddies through this talent hunt every year, and mentor the identified talent all the way to a podium finish.
